How our standard fees work in practice
For example, if you invest £200,000 after receiving your free financial review and decide to proceed with our advice, the initial advice fee would be 2.99%, or £5,980.
If you also choose our ongoing advice service, the ongoing fee would be 1% a year on £200,000, or £2,000 for the first year.
The fees that apply will depend on your individual circumstances and the services you choose. We’ll always confirm them with you in writing before any chargeable work begins.
What you receive for your fee
Your fee covers independent financial advice shaped around you, with clear recommendations and a plan built around what you want to achieve. We take time to understand your circumstances, explain our advice clearly and help you make informed decisions about your future. If you choose our ongoing service, we’ll review your plan regularly and adjust it as your circumstances, priorities and goals change.
Explore your options at no cost
Our free financial review is a process, not just a single conversation. You’ll have a series of meetings with the Reeves team to understand your circumstances, explore your options and receive our recommendations, all at no cost and with no obligation to proceed. You’ll only pay a fee if you choose to act on our advice, and we’ll agree those charges with you in writing first.
Your questions about financial advice fees
How much does financial advice cost?
The cost depends on the advice you need and the amount involved. Our initial advice fee is usually 2.99% on the first £300,000 and 0.5% above that, subject to a minimum fee of £1,000 and a maximum of £15,000. Your financial review is free, and a fee only becomes payable if you choose to proceed with our advice.
Is the financial review really free?
Yes. Your initial financial review is worth over £800, but it is provided completely free of charge and with no obligation. Whether you choose to become a client or not, you’ll leave with valuable insight into your finances. There is no cost and no pressure.
Why do you offer a free review?
We think that after hearing what we can offer, you will see the benefits to coming onboard as a Reeves client and decide to proceed with our recommendations. If not, you are free to walk away.
How much does pension advice cost?
At Reeves, pension and retirement advice usually follows the same fee structure shown above. The amount you pay will depend on your circumstances and the advice involved. We’ll confirm the exact charge with you in writing before you choose whether to proceed.
What’s the difference between the initial and ongoing fees?
The initial advice fee applies if you decide to go ahead with our recommendations and covers putting that advice into place. The ongoing fee covers continued advice and ongoing access to our team and regular reviews to help keep your financial plan aligned with your circumstances and goals.
When will I know exactly what I’ll pay?
Before you commit to any chargeable work. We’ll set out the fees that apply to you in writing, so you can understand and agree the cost before deciding whether to go ahead.
