Markets move and life changes, so a portfolio left untouched can drift from what you need. We manage your investments on an ongoing basis: monitoring how they are doing, reviewing them against your goals and attitude to risk, and making adjustments as your circumstances change.

What our investment management covers
Active Portfolio management
We take an actively managed approach across our portfolios, monitoring and adjusting them as markets and your circumstances change, rather than leaving your investments to drift.
Discretionary management
Where it suits your circumstances, we may recommend discretionary management in which an investment manager makes day-to-day decisions within limits agreed with you, so changes can be made quickly without asking you each time.
Portfolio resilience through Diversification
Our portfolios are built for long-term resilience, designed to withstand market ups and downs while keeping your money secure. By spreading your investments across a carefully chosen mix of different assets and global regions, we ensure your portfolio isn’t overly reliant on any single market.
Investing in line with your values
If you’d rather your portfolio reflected particular ethical or sustainable principles, we have options available that we can recommend, which follow the same research-led approach as we follow on all other investments.
Ongoing management and reporting
Your portfolio is managed and reported on continuously, with clear updates and regular reviews, so you always have a current picture of how your investments are performing against your plan.
OUR SERVICES
Choosing the right level of risk
We offer a range of portfolios, from cautious to adventurous. Each holds a different mix of cash, bonds and shares, and each behaves differently when markets fall. We work out with you which one fits, based on both how much risk you are comfortable with and how much you can afford to take. Those two are rarely the same.

What investment management includes
Investment management is a broad term that different firms use to mean different things. Here is specifically what it covers with us.
Long term over short term
Portfolios are built for years, not quarters. Short-term movement is expected rather than reacted to.
Diversification, properly done
Spread across sectors and asset classes, rather than following an index concentrated in a handful of very large companies.
Contributions and tax relief
How much you can pay in, what the government adds on top, and whether you are making the most of it.
Annual allowance and carry forward
What you can contribute each year, and how to use unused allowance from the previous three.
Careful oversight, so your investments keep working for you
Good investment management is not about reacting to every headline. It’s about a considered, research-led approach and oversight working together to keep your portfolio on course. Where discretionary management suits you, a specialist runs the day-to-day within limits agreed through advice. That leaves your adviser free to focus on you: your questions, your plans and your changing circumstances.
