Before we talk about investments, we get to know you: what you want your money to do, when you will need it, and how you feel about risk. That understanding shapes everything. We assess your attitude to risk and your capacity for loss, then match you to a suitable strategy for your stage of life. As things change, so does your plan.

Investment advice that starts with you, not the market
How our investment advice works
-
1
Understanding you
We start with a conversation about your goals, your timescales and how you feel about risk, No jargon, no assumptions, just a clear picture of where you are and where you want to get to.
-
2
Building your plan
Your Adviser recommends a strategy suited to your circumstances and stage of life, drawing on our own research-led process and in-house investment team.
-
3
Putting it to work
Once you're happy with your plan, we put it in place and manage the day-to-day, so you don't have to watch the markets yourself.
-
4
Reviewing regularly
We'll meet with you to review your plan and progress together. Whenever life changes, we make sure it stays aligned to your goals.
Actively managed portfolios
Our portfolios are actively managed and supported by independent external research, so your investments are monitored and adjusted as markets and your circumstances change.
Diversification
We spread investments across different asset classes and regions. Diversification is a core part of how we manage risk, though it never removes it completely.
Ethical and sustainable options
For clients who want their investments to reflect their values, we offer ethical and sustainable options alongside our core approach.
Drawing an income
If you plan to draw an income within the next 5 years, we can take a shorter term approach designed to support that, discussed and agreed with your Adviser.
Careful oversight of your investments, so your Adviser can focus on you
Behind every plan sits a research-led process, actively managed approach, quarterly investment oversight and independent external research. Together they guide how the portfolios are monitored and managed over time. That leaves your Adviser free to focus on what matters most: understanding your life, answering your questions and keeping your plan on track as your circumstances change.
What investment management with Reeves includes
A single service that brings together the planning, the investments and the ongoing care: a strategy matched to your goals and whatever stage you’re at in life, an actively managed approach, diversification, regular reviews and clear updates.
Long term over short term
Portfolios are built for years, not quarters. Short-term movement is expected rather than reacted to.
Diversification, properly done
Spread across sectors and asset classes, rather than following an index concentrated in a handful of very large companies.
Contributions and tax relief
How much you can pay in, what the government adds on top, and whether you are making the most of it.
Annual allowance and carry forward
What you can contribute each year, and how to use unused allowance from the previous three.
OUR SERVICES
Choosing the right level of risk
We offer a range of portfolios, from cautious to adventurous. Each holds a different mix of cash, bonds and shares, and each behaves differently when markets fall. We work out with you which one fits, based on both how much risk you are comfortable with and how much you can afford to take. Those two are rarely the same.

In the UK, regulated investment advice can only be given by firms and advisers that are authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority. Reeves Independent is FCA authorised and our Advisers are qualified to advise you on your investments.
