This series will focus on telling the stories of you, our clients. To launch this new series, we caught up with long-term client, Lisa Whitehead.
Lisa, 54, was a journalist with the Newcastle Chronicle for 30 years and lives in the city’s Gosforth area. She and her husband are longstanding clients and have two children. Here’s what she had to say when we met in August.
How did you first hear about Reeves?
“Nigel (Reeves CEO & Founder) and my husband and I have been friends for years. Nigel used to do our finances when he used to come around to clients houses for 1-2-1 meetings all those years ago. We’ve been with Reeves ever since.”
Why Reeves?
“Reeves make everything so easy to understand. It is clear that a lot of time and resource is invested in Reeves employees and they train their staff brilliantly. Jack, my Financial Adviser is my go to as he makes things so simple and easy to understand.
“Pension jargon is very difficult for people to grasp and it’s very difficult for people to engage and get their head around. Would you recommend Reeves?

What would you say to someone considering financial advice?
“What I would say to people is don’t be frightened of pensions. Quite often, when the word pensions is mentioned, people recoil because they don’t understand it.
“But, pensions can be made very simple by the right Financial Adviser. This is what Reeves do so brilliantly and this is why I have been with Reeves for so long.”
Have you achieved your retirement goals?
“Now approaching retirement age, I feel elated to be able to comfortably retire at 55. I’ve had the financial advice from Reeves to get me there.”
