Premiership Scores Competition 2005/06 - Fundraising for Reeves Independent football club, a bit of fun and a chance to win some lolly!

What's this all about then?

Just predict the scores of every weekend premier league match during the season. For every correct result/score you will be awarded 5 points. Where a home/away win or draw is correctly forecast 1 point will be awarded. A monthly cash prize and seasons cash prize is up for grabs for the people with the most points.

That sounds great - How do I enter?

Complete a simple registration form. Pay £40 for the season or set up a standing order form for £25 per month for 5 entries.

Is that all it costs?

Yep. It's great value and great fun. Remember the season lasts 8 months so your commitment is only £40 per entry over the season.

What games are involved?

We are only including premier games played on Saturday and Sunday.

When does it start?

The first match is September 3rd 2005. All payments must be made before 31st September 2005.

Where do I find the fixtures?

You can make your forecasts every week or every month - it is up to you. The fixtures are available form the newspapers or we use www.skysports.com for all fixtures, especially if you want to do your entry every month. We can email the fixtures to you if requested.

How do I communicate my forecasts?

When can you enter?

You can enter at any time by completing a standing order form and entry form. Of course the later you join the less chance you have of winning the seasons award - but you can still win the monthly prize and enjoy the fun.

Who wins the cash?

The winner is the person with the most points at the end of the designated month and the end of the year. If you do not play you can not score! Based upon our experience of playing this for the past 2 years we have found it really is a bit of a lottery. The longer you play the closer it gets - just like tossing a coin!

What are the prizes?

50% of all sales goes to the football club. The remainder is allocated to prize money (including payment of £100 to the person with most entries).

25% of money collected each month are paid to the person with the most points gained during each month of the season.

25% of money collected over the season will be paid to the overall winner.

Who can enter?

Anyone that is connected with a player of Reeves Independent Football Club. Each player is requested if possible to get 5 entries (including themselves) to assist the clubs finances. This is a private competition where playing is by invitation only.

Anything else to know!

It is your responsibility to get your entry in on time. Friday evening 5pm.

In event of any discrepancies Nigel Reeves decision is final.

In event of any dispute put them in writing by email.

Results of the competition will be posted on this website.

Monthly Prizes will be awarded in the pub after the first Sunday game of each new month. Cheque will be given to the winners contact in their absence.

If there is a draw for any of the Monthly Money Prizes then the winner will be the player that gets the most number of exact scores (5 pointers!). If, after this, it is still a draw then the money will be shared equally between the winners.

The £100 prize for the player with the most entrants will be decided and awarded on the 1st October 2003.
If an entrants predictions are not received before the selected fixtures are played, then all of their predictions for that weekend will be marked down as 0-0 draws. Points will still be awarded if this is the correct result or prediction.

How much can I win?

It depends upon how successful we are at attracting entries.

However, If we can get 100 entries it will raise two grand for the club and provide an annual prize of 1K and monthly prizes of £125.

How does it affect players match fees?

Every player is guaranteed to be exempt from match fees if they get 5 entries. Players that get less than 5 may be asked for a contribution in the event of inadequate funds being raised.

Are there any incentives to get friends to sign up?

Of course! Guaranteed no match fees for players that get at leas 4 or more people signed up (excluding own entry).

Probably no match fees for players that sign up themselves.

£100 will be paid to the player/distributor who introduce the most number of entries.

In the event of 100 paid up entries the scheme administrator will receive a 10% incentive payment. This will be taken from the clubs share of the proceeds. All players that enter the game agree to receive mailshots from Reeves Independent.
